Seminar on reservations turns into a shouting match

On 1 March, the local unit of the Congress organized a seminar on re-evaluation of reservation system at Jaishankar Prasad auditorium

LUCKNOW: On 1 March, the local unit of the Congress organized a seminar on re-evaluation of reservation system at Jaishankar Prasad auditorium. But the moment the Dalit-OBC speakers began describing the system as justified, the seminar turned into a shouting match. The caste Hindu speakers used abusive language against the Dalit-OBC icons. Diehard anti-reservation leader and national president of Swaraj Party, Anupam Mishra, Congress leaders Maroof Khan and Shailendra Mishra, Dalit thinker Lalji Prasad Nirmal, SC Gautam, retired IPS officer SR Darapuri and Virendra Kumar Maurya, president of Picchda Varga Mahasangh, all put forth their views in aggressive tones.
