UGC’s circular a smokescreen, universities continue to reassign reserved positions

Citing the Allahabad High Court judgment, Gorakhpur University and Uttar Pradesh’s other universities continue to recruit upper-caste candidates to positions meant for reserved candidates. This, even when UGC sent out a circular on 20 April 2018 saying that the high court judgment was debatable and that both the UGC and the central government had filed a review petition
