What makes Dwijs hate Bahujans?

Dr Ambedkar, in ‘Annihilation of Caste’, says that the Hindu religious scriptures are overflowing with fanciful mythological tales. Moreover, these tales were used to build and sustain the caste system, writes Kanwal Bharti :

On 31 October 2017, I had written about a “great book”, Shastraheen Hindu Hindu Nahin[1], authored by Dr Vedram Vedharthi – Sahitya Ratna, Siddhant Shastri, Vidya Vachaspati, MA and PhD. The word “Sahyog” (contribution) is mentioned as the price of the book, published from Aligarh in 1990, meaning that it was distributed free of cost. At the end of the preface, the date given is “Karsewak Diwas”, 20 October 1990. It seems that the writer was part of the Ram Temple agitation. Page 35 of the book makes this profound observation:

“Bhagwati Durga is the slayer of Asurs and Danavs. Hence, every Arya Putra and Putri should be a slayer of the enemies and should know the ways and means of slaying them.

“Bhagwati Durga had slain many oppressors for the protection of her religion, culture, nation, and Aryatva (Hindutva). Hence, every Arya Putra and Putri should kill at least one oppressor in his or her lifetime. However, one cannot identify the oppressor arbitrarily. One has to go by the directives and oppressor’s characteristics mentioned in the Manusmriti and Dharmashastra.”

Who are the oppressors? The Manusmriti issues the following diktats:

  • Drive the critics of the Vedas out of the town.[2]
  • Those who have given up their religion and those who are the sadhus of “Pratilom”, “Varna-sankar” and “Vidharmi” sects do not deserve any respect.
  • One who does not revere his guru, the gods, and the scriptures, one who argues against the Vedas and one who walks looking down, does not deserve any respect.[3]
  • The traditions, knowledge and philosophy not based on the Vedas are useless in the other world.[4]

Thus, according to the Manusmriti, the critics of the Vedas, those who have given up their religion (including Buddhists), those who were born from Pratilom and Varna-sankar marriage (ie whose fathers are Shudras) and the monks of anti-religion sects (Jains, Buddhists and Aajivaks) are not worthy of any respect. Furthermore, those who walk with their eyes downcast (they can be Buddhist monks) and those whose knowledge is not based on the Vedas are atheists and worthy of hatred. While Manu has mentioned the need to drive critics of the Vedas out of the city, however, he has not asked to kill anyone.

A violent form of Durga

According to Damodar Dharmananda Kosambi[5], the Gupta period, after the visit of Chinese itinerant Fa-Hien to India, is considered by the Brahmins as their golden period. This period witnessed a Brahmanical counter-revolution, which led to the massacre of Buddhist monks, and Brahmins wrote volumes upon volumes of religious scriptures. Brahmins wrote the Manusmriti, the Ramayana and the Mahabharata in this period. Brahmanism fomented hatred against the critics of the Vedas and the Buddhists. The Ramayana describes Buddha, Charvaka and atheists as thieves. The Sung and the Shashank eras saw the large-scale massacre of the critics of the Vedas and the Buddhists. Moreover, this counter-revolution continued to whip up hatred against the non-Hindus.

Now, for the RSS-brand Hindutvavadis, Christianity and Islam are alien religions, and progressive and communist writers, and thinkers are the oppressors. No wonder, they hate all of them.

In the preface to Shastraheen Hindu Hindu Nahin, Dr Vedram Vedarthi writes:

“Without a doubt, Hindus are the finest and the best human beings in the world. They are extraordinarily talented, valiant and skilled and are the inheritors of the oldest, the most original religion, culture and nation. Aryan Hindus are born warriors. Almost all their deities are powerful, armed and slayers of the enemy. Still, why such extraordinary, unique and invincible Hindus have fallen on such bad days? What is the underlying reason for it and what is its final solution?”[6]

If someone wants to praise himself by describing the Hindus as the best human beings, he is free to do so. However, such statements will carry more weight if non-Hindus praise Hindus. Otherwise, it is just self-praise. If a handful of Muslims and British could vanquish the Hindus and rule over them for 1,000 years, how could they have been valiant warriors? They were cowards of the first order. If all Hindu deities are powerful, armed and slayers of the enemy, who were the enemies they destroyed? When the Hunas, the Muslims and the British invaded India, where were these powerful, armed and enemy-slayer deities hiding? Were they sleeping in some cave? The oppressor enemies were killing the Hindus, and Vishnu was resting on his bed on Sheshnag. Why did Shiva’s third eye – which can reduce anyone to ashes – did not open then? How can the deities who could not protect the Hindus from becoming slaves be described as slayers of enemies? On what basis is the writer asking, “Why invincible Hindus have fallen on such bad days?” In which era were the Hindus invincible? Which Hindu king was invincible? If Rana Pratap did not accept the suzerainty of Akbar, does that make him invincible? Is escaping to the forests after losing one’s entire kingdom, a symbol of victory?

Durga wearing severed arms and a garland of severed heads

Recalling the slavery of Hindus, Vedram asks:

“How could the Arabs, Afghans, Mughals and other cruel assailants gather the courage to attack the glorious India of invincible Hindus? How could they demolish their temples and build mosques in their place? How could they enslave hundreds of thousands of Arya Putras and Putris, strip them, and sell them at the road junctions in Ghazni, Baghdad, Mecca and Medina? How did they launch the sinister campaign of converting them to alien religions? How could they rule over the Devbhumi Bharat and Devputra Aryan Hindus for hundreds of years while committing untold atrocities and injustices against them?”[7]

The writer could have found answers to all his questions from the history of the Hindus, but he did not try to sneak a peek at it. Just as Brahmin and Hindu rulers demolished the Buddhist temples, Viharas and Stupas and built temples of Hindus gods and goddesses using the debris, similarly, the Muslim assailants also razed Hindu temples. Maybe, in some places, they replaced them with mosques. History tended to repeat itself.

Why were the Hindus enslaved? The writer answers this question in the following words:

“I have devoted about 45 years of my life to finding an answer to this question. I have studied and distilled all scriptures ranging from the Rigveda to the Ramayana and the writings of different authors ranging from Tulsidas to Dayanand, Vivekanand and Ramtirth. With God’s grace, I was successful in finding the answer. The answer is that ordinary Hindus were unarmed.”[8]

“Hindu Society is a myth. The name Hindu is itself a foreign name. It was given by the Mohammedans to the natives for the purpose of distinguishing themselves. It does not occur in any Sanskrit work prior to the Mohammedan invasion. They did not feel the necessity of a common name, because they had no conception of their having constituted a community. Hindu Society as such does not exist. It is only a collection of castes. Each caste is conscious of its existence. Its survival is the be-all and end-all of its existence.”[10]

Dr Vedram could not have realized this truth by reading Tulsidas, Dayanand, Vivekanand and Ramtirth because none of them could recognize that it was the Varna system that was responsible for Hindus becoming slaves. This system allowed only the Kshatriyas to carry weapons. If other Hindus could not bear arms, how could they have fought the enemy?

However, what Dr Vedram discovered by studying all these authors, in his own words is: “Fortunately, I could discover the basic problem of the Hindus and its final solution. I could arrive at the truth. What was the truth? It is this: 1) The fundamental problem of Hindus: Survival 2) The only decisive solution: Get armed.”[11]

After toiling for 45 years, Dr Vedram realized that survival is the fundamental problem of the Hindus and getting armed, the only solution. Getting armed can be understood; but why does he think that existence is the fundamental problem of the Hindus? He has chosen not to elaborate on what he means by life and existence.

The first chapter of the book can help us understand it. It is titled “Sarvpasya Durga”. Before we move ahead, let me tell you that this book has four chapters and all are devoted to Durga. The source material is Shri Durgasaptashati, which is an imaginary, unscientific book of tales.

In his introduction to the first chapter, he says, “It is my well-considered view that from the angle of relevance, utility, and suitability, the idol-worshipper Hindus, who believe in incarnations of god, should worship only Bhagwati Durga in this Kali age.”[12] He gives five reasons for it:

1) Bhagwati Durga is Mahamaya and Mahashakti.

2) In the Kali yug, the anti-national, anti-religion and anti-Hindu assailants are playing their bad games to break and disintegrate the Hindu community. Durga is the only source of strength necessary for the struggle to destroy them completely

3) The only way to save the Arya Putris from the dirty designs of the Kali-yug villains is to turn them into worshippers of Durga.

4) All varnas and castes can worship Bhagwati Durga. Parshuram is a Brahmin, Krishna is a Yadav of a backward class, Mahars and Jatavs have monopolized Buddha, only the Jains revere Mahavir, and Nanak has become the guru of only the Sikhs. Hence, declaring these divine personalities as the objects of worship of all Indians may invite objections, and it is. However, Durga is beyond class, varna, caste and sect. She is acceptable to all.

5) Bhagwati Durga is timeless. She is relevant, useful and suitable for all ages – Krityug, Tretayug, Dwapar and Kaliyug.[13]

Like gods, like devotees – Brahmins armed with weapons on Ram Navami

Is the existence of Hindus only about these five beliefs? Is this the fundamental problem of the Hindus? If Dr Vedram thinks so, I will have to say that he has wasted 45 years of his life. He has neither encountered the truth nor has he made any efforts to find it. On the other hand, he has very shrewdly tried to associate the Hindus with an imaginary, ridiculous, mythological and mythical goddess. The same thing took place during the extremist Ram Temple movement launched by the RSS-BJP, and its objective was to turn the ordinary Hindus against the Muslims and the progressive Hindus who were against the campaign.

It is clear that the Durga became the prime deity of Bahujans in this dark age of Indian politics. The writer knows very well that Durga is an imaginary character and she cannot appear on Earth to slay the enemies of Hindus. However, his objective was to turn Hindus into extremists, murderers and aggressors by relating fake tales of Durga killing the enemies. The religious-minded and dim-witted, who would fall into this trap, will spill the blood of their countrymen in the name of faith, turn criminals and rot in jails. The RSS-BJP leaders and extremist writers like Vedram would enjoy the fruits of power, and those spilling blood would be proud to get the badge of Hindu Bhakta.

Quoting Shri Durga Saptashati, the author describes the original form of Bhagwati thus:

“Long back, in Swarochish Manvantar, Chaitravanshi King Surath and Samadhi Vaishyas asked Medhamuni, ‘O’ Lord, the one you describe as Mahamaya, which goddess is she? How did she make an appearance? What are her forms?’ Medhamuni’s answer is that Devi is Nityaswaroopa. The entire universe is her image. Although she is eternal and never-born, she appears on Earth to perform righteous acts.

“When Madhu and Kaitabh wanted to kill Brahma, he invoked Yoganidra, who lives in the eyes of Vishnu. This invocation brought before our eyes the grand form of Bhagwati Devi. She is Mahavidhya, Mahamaya, Mahamedha, Mahasmriti, Mahamoha, Mahadevi and Mahasuri. She is nature. She is the terrifying Kalratri, Maharatri, and Mohratri.”[14]

One more ridiculous myth: Vishnu resting atop a cobra and Brahma seated on a lotus that had emerged from the former’s navel

Dr Ambedkar[15] writes in Riddles in Hinduism: “Durga is a Puranic goddess. None of the Vedic goddesses fought in a battle or killed any Asur. In the Vedic era, the gods used to fight all the battles. However, in the Puranic era, the goddesses wage battles. Was there no god in this era? There were five Puranic goddesses: Saraswati, Lakshmi, Parvati, Durga, and Kali. Saraswati and Lakshmi are the wives of Brahma and Vishnu, respectively, who along with Shiva are the Puranic Gods. Parvati, Durga and Kali are the wives of Shiva. Now, Saraswati and Lakshmi have killed no Asur and have done no deed of valour. Why? Why then did Saraswati and Lakshmi not take part in the battle with the Asurs? It is because Shiva’s wives have to kill them. Even here, Parvati’s role is quite different from that of Durga. The representation of Parvati is of a simple woman. She has no heroic deeds to her credit like the ones claimed for Durga.”[16]

Had Dr Vedram read this book, he would have been able to remove the cobwebs in his mind, and would not have been written:

“Vishnu was sleeping on his bed on Sheshnag. Yoganidra (Mahamaya) was in his eyes. At that time, two ferocious Asurs, Madhu and Kaitabh, were born from his earwax and got ready to kill Prajapati Brahma, who was seated in his navel. To wake up Vishnu, Brahma prayed to Yoganidra Mahamaya, the presiding deity of Tamoguns. On hearing Brahma’s prayers, Yoganidra emerged from the eyes, mouth, nostrils, hands, heart, and chest of Vishnu and appeared before Brahma. With Yoganidra gone, Vishnu woke up. He then fought with Madhu and Kaitabh for 5,000 years. Amid the war, Yohanidra Mahamaya continued seducing them. In the end, the god kept both the Asurs on his thigh and slayed them with his chakra.”[17]

What idiotic tales the Brahmins have woven! You cannot make head or tail out of it. Can anyone be born from earwax? Even if an insect enters the ear and grows and lays eggs inside, can it produce two Asurs? One cannot even think in these terms. There are four other hilarious elements in this story. The first is that Vishnu fought the Asurs born from his earwax for 5,000 years and the second that Brahma was seated in the navel of Vishnu. The third is that on hearing Brahma’s entreaties, Mahamaya emerged from the eyes, mouth, nostrils, hands, heart, and chest of Vishnu. The fourth is that Mahamaya kept them seduced for 5,000 years, after which Vishnu killed them.

A person of even moderate intelligence will laugh at this story. They will ask: How and why was Brahma seated in the navel of Vishnu? Was that his abode? How come the Asurs, born from the earwax of Vishnu, were so powerful that he had to battle them for 5,000 years? When Mahamaya kept seducing them, then with whom did Vishnu fight? Born from his own body, the two Asurs were Vishnu’s kin. Then why did he kill them? Moreover, if he had to kill them, why did he not do it immediately? Why did he wait for 5,000 years?

In the second chapter, Dr Vedram describes the warrior form of Durga. At one place, he writes, “Devi’s power prevails over the entire world.”[18] What are the boundaries of this world? There are 195 countries in the world. Does Durga’s power prevail over the 194 countries, besides India? This question is essential, because no one knows about Durga in any country other than India. In India too, Durga does not figure in history. She is only a mythological character, born from the pen of the Brahmins. Moreover, the stories of her birth are unscientific, ridiculous and unbelievable.

Dr Vedram further writes, “Mahabala and Sarvavahanvahini Bhagwati Durga knows that the traitors of the religion, assailants and the demons have to be killed using different kinds of weapons. Hence, she carries all the weapons.”[19]

The history of Hindus is a history of slavery. They lost to everyone and to gloss over their defeats, they wrote about imaginary battles waged by gods and goddesses against their enemies. From Ram to Durga, all their tales of victory are mythological, with no historical roots. These mythological tales are an attempt by the Brahmins to hide their cowardice.

Vishnu’s story says that he fought against the two Asurs for 5,000 years and Durga’s seductive skills did not help him. That means the Asurs were so powerful that they did not allow the Aryans to win for 5,000 years. It shows that the invader Aryans consistently fought against the Daityas, Danavs, Asurs, Rakshasas, and Brathyas, who were the original inhabitants of India. The Rigveda has numerous descriptions of these battles.[20]

However, what do the vanquished lose by bragging? They lose nothing. So, they eulogized Durga as a deity who single-handedly killed many Asurs, that is, non-Aryans. Dr Vedram describes these battles in the third chapter of his book, “Durga Ke Rankaushal”. According to him, the Asurs slain by Durga included Madhu, Kaitabh, Chikshushur, Chaamar, Udagra, Mahahanu, Vashkal, Tamra, Andhak, Ugrasya, Durmukh, Parivarit, Vidal, Mahishasur, Dhumralochan, Chand, Mund, Udayudh, Kambu, Kalak, Dohidra, Maurya, Kalkeya, Raktabeej, Nishubh and Shumbh.

In the last and fourth chapter, the author presents his conclusions and offers some suggestions. He believes that “If the Arya Putra and Putris followed these suggestions and act accordingly, they would learn the art of living with respect and self-esteem and would be able to take on the assailants with courage and valor and protect the existence and identity of Bharat Mata.”[21]

The Aryan author has given some suggestions for protecting the existence and identity of Bharat Mata, which according to him constitute the central message of the Sanatan Vedic religion:

1) The Hindus believing in incarnations and idol worship should pray only to Bhagwati Durga.

2) The Arya Putris should not worship any male god even in their dreams.

3) All Arya Putras and Putris should be strong.

4) All Arya Putras and Putris should be armed.

5) All of them should get trained and become experts in using all old and modern vehicles.

6) All of them should be the slayers of enemy.

7) Every Arya Putra and Putri should kill at least one assailant in their life.

8) All prosperous Aryan Hindus should help the Arya Putras and Putris engaged in the religious battle against the assailants.

9) The Arya Putris should choose only a valiant male as their husbands.

10) Like Bhagwati Durga, all other gods and goddesses of Aryan Hindus are armed and slayers of enemies. Then why the worshippers of Indra, Shankar, Ram, Krishna, Hanuman, and Durga should not carry weapons. All true worshippers of these gods and goddesses should take arms and slay the enemies. It is the gist of the Vedic religion and the message of the Sanatan Dharma.[22]

Also, this is Hindu religion, which teaches nothing except hatred and violence. No Hindu scripture talks about love, friendship, non-violence, compassion, equality, liberty and brotherhood. All of them teach hatred – not only towards other religions and sects but also towards the varnas and castes of the faith they represent. Kill your opponent – this is what Hindu religion is.
