केरल के एक उच्च जातीय परिवार में जन्मे पी. एस. कृष्णन ने बतौर आईएएस अधिकारी दलित-बहुजनों के लिए काम किया। उन्होंने यह साबित किया कि नौकरी में रहते हुए वंचित जनता के पक्ष में सरकारी नीतियों का निर्माण व उनका अनुपालन कैसे कराया जा सकता है। बीते 10 नवंबर 2019 को दिल्ली में उनका निधन हो गया
Born into an upper-caste family in Kerala, P.S. Krishnan worked for upliftment of the Dalitbahujans during his time in the IAS. He proved that even a civil servant could play a significant role in the formulation and implementation of government policies for the wellbeing of the deprived. He passed away in Delhi on 10 November 2019
बीते 25 सितंबर 2018 को दिल्ली के जंतर-मंतर पर अति पिछड़ा वर्ग के लोग बड़ी संख्या में जुटे थे। वे अपने वर्ग के लिए एससी और एसटी के जैसे कानूनों की मांग कर रहे थे। उनका कहना था कि अति पिछड़ा वर्ग की हालत एससी और एसटी से भी बदतर है। फारवर्ड प्रेस की खबर :

अबतक उपलब्ध सारे आंकड़े बताते हैं कि देश में सवर्ण अल्पसंख्यक हैं। यानी उनकी आबादी अन्य समुदायों की तुलना में कम है। कम आबादी होने के कारण यदि दलितों और आदिवासियों के लिए स्पेशल कंपोनेंट प्लान बनाकर उनकी हिस्सेदारी तय की जा सकती है तो फिर सवर्णों के लिए भी इसे लागू किया जाना चाहिए। शेष राशि स्वत: ही ओबीसी के कल्याण के लिए इस्तेमाल की जा सकेगी। बता रहे हैं नवल किशोर कुमार :
