LUCKNOW: Samajwadi Party President Mulayam Singh Yadav, along with Supreme Court judge Justice AK Sikri, was conferred the LL.D. Honoris Causa at the first convocation of Dr Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow.
The doctorate comes to him as a founder visionary of RMLNLU. Among those who participated in the function included Justice BS Chauhan, judge, Supreme Court of India and Justice DY Chadrachud, chief justice of UP. Mulayam Singh Yadav, who was the chief guest at the convocation, asked the students to take a vow to help the poor get justice and provide them free legal help. Vice Chancellor of the University Prof Gurdip Singh, founder Director and former Vice Chancellor of the Law University Prof SS Katiyar were present at the function.
