Aurangabad (Bihar): Dharmendra Kumar, founder general secretary of Swarnakar Vikas Manch and now editor of Sonar Sansar has called upon the members of the community to take advantage of government schemes. He was launching the magazine at Gopal Babu Alankar Jewellers in Dawoodnagar, Auranagabad district.
Kumar, president of Jamshedpur Vishwakarma Karigar Sangh, said that all goldsmiths should get their artisan photo IDs made from the central government’s industries department (Ministry of Textiles). That would enable them to get loans of up to Rs 2 lakh without any guarantor, at a low interest rate. He said that the artisans should also join the Rajiv Gandhi Shilpi Swasthya Beema Yojana. On this occasion, Rajendra Prasad, president of Swarnkar Abhushan Vyavsayi Sangh; Upendra Kashyap, senior journalist and state general secretary of Swarnakar Samaj Vikas Evam Shodh Sansthan; ward corporators Raviranjan Swarnakar, Siddheshwar Prasad and Gopal Soni; member of 20-point implementation committee and chairman of traders’ cell of the block unit of JDU Sanjay Prasad; Madan Soni; Sanjay Kumar Soni; Vinod Soni; and Kanhai Soni were present.
