Jainendra Dost is a theatre artiste and film director. He has a PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University on ‘Launda Naach’ and Bhikari Thakur. He is known for his documentary film titled ‘Naach Bhikari Naach’ based on extensive research and supported by Public Service Broadcasting Trust and Doordarshan. Under his direction, Bhikari Thakur’s plays have been staged in festivals both in India and in neighbouring countries such as Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bhutan
